1C is not a WMS

1C excels at accounting; WMS excels at floor operations — picking routes, bin hints, receiving discrepancies.

MVP in 15–25 days

  • Catalog + bins sync
  • Receiving
  • Picking
  • Counts
  • Labels
  • 1C events

Warehouse types need different MVPs

E-commerce fulfillment needs waves and FEFO; wholesale needs pallets and partial picks; event rental needs kits, serial numbers and rig statuses tied to projects. A universal WMS is overspend — MVP for your movement type is normal.

Rollout steps

  • Site survey: zones, operation types, peak season
  • Data model: cells, SKU, kit, serial if needed
  • 1C integration: master data, frequency, conflict rules
  • Pilot one zone, train pickers on scanners
  • Go-live plus two weeks hypercare and nightly reconciliation

Buying expensive scanners before the process is agreed is a common mistake. Android terminals and Wi-Fi in the storage zone are often enough. Batch sync once per day without event queues leads to morning oversell on the website.
